Review:
I loved this story. It seems so nonsensical but there are some lessons to be learned.
The Good:
The story was engaging and easily enjoyable. Alice was a wonderfully childish character whose interactions with those around her were entertaining to read. The writing itself was simple and easy to follow and the setting descriptions were done well. Each character was unique and easily likeable.
The Not So Good:
The characters themselves weren’t thoroughly described, sometimes barely described at all. The many, many poems in this book were often long and dragged the story along often slowing the already sluggish pacing of the book. The poems got to a point where even Alice got tired of them and the ending of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” was abrupt and slightly unsatisfactory.
Overall this was a great read and I highly recommend.
